Sick!!

Have managed to catch another bug, so trying to get over it. I'm halfway through decorating a Kaisercraft box and I'm very very pleased with it. Once I can get it finished I'll post pics up.
Hope to be back with you soon.

Two cards today

I started this pocket card a few weeks back, but hadn't finished it. I used Palette o' Prints paper and the colours So Saffron, Almost Amethyst and Certainly Celery. 'Enjoy' is from the Lovely Labels set.

This card was inspired by Nerine with a card called Blossoms Abound and a Splitcoast Stampers sketch, number 113.

The base is Whisper White, with So Saffron next. The Sanded stamp has been stamped on with So Saffron ink then the Floral stamp over that using the faux torn paper tech, again with So Saffron ink. Certainly Celery and Rose Red papers from the Palette o' Prints were then layered on. Using my stamp-a-ma-jig, I stamped the small rose and leaves out of the Wild Rose set and using Regal Rose, Rose Red, Certainly Celery and Old Olive onto Whisper White. Then punched three 1 1/4" squares out of my 'picture' backing them onto three 1 3/8" squares of Rose Red. Using dimensionals, these were then placed on the diagonal along my torn paper layers.

The greeting is from a retired Hostess Set and Saleabration set, Warmest Regards and Birthday Whimsy.
Actually I was pretty happy with the end result. Thanks for looking.

Priceless

I adore this Priceless set from Stampin' Up. I saw a card in the Gallery on Splitcoast Stampers and just loved the colour combo and the layout. My three cards were inspired by this card.
Thank you for the inspiration.

I used my cuttlebug embossing folders on all three of these cards. Garden Green, Wild Wasabi, Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel, Summer Sun, Naturals Ivory and Whisper White cardstock are all used.
First card - Divine Swirls embossing folder, Choc Chip ribbon, French Script background stamp (retired), Priceless stamp set and inks were Close to Cocoa, Summer Sun, Wild Wasabi, Creamy Caramel, Choc Chip. The bling is from my own stash.
Second card - Bird and Swirls embossing folder, Polka Dot background stamp, Priceless stamp set, bling from stash and inks were Choc Chip, Creamy Caramel, Wild Wasabi, Summer Sun and Close to Cocoa.
Third card - Floral fantasy embossing folder, Sanded background stamp, Priceless stamp set,
Wild Wasabi striped grosgrain, Label punch, bling from stash and inks were Close to Cocoa, Choc Chip, Summer Sun, Wild Wasabi, Creamy Caramel and Garden Green.
I really like the striped grosgrain ribbon so had to use Whisper White as a background piece for the Priceless set. This was a bit stark against the Choc Chip so I sponged Garden Green and Close to Cocoa around the edges of the Whisper White cardstock using the yellow Stampin' Up sponge. I cut it into 4 quarters and it's fantastic to use. I also wanted to layer the label to create a sort of shadow effect like the font in the word Priceless so punched three of different colours and offset each of them.

More Baby Pocket cards

I made these baby cards two weeks ago when I was on my Pocket card roll. The pink one is using Purely Pomegranate and Pretty in Pink with Polka Dots background stamp and Lovely Labels set. The insert uses a stamp from Bundle of Joy and Welcome is from Everything Baby.
The blue one is made again using the Polka Dot background stamp and Lovely Labels set. This time the colours are Soft Sky and Blue Bayou. The verse on the insert is using Curvy Verses.
Both the scallop edges on the cards were made using the 3/16" corner rounder punch by Stampin' Up. I love the Scallop Punch we have this year too.
All other supplies and stamps by Stampin' Up.
Thanks for looking.

Sunday morning

Bbbbrrrrr it's turned a little chilly here today. South Westerly's blowing. I made one card yesterday with another nearly finished. Mind you, I didn't start until 3pm. Did all the necessary things in the morning and early afternoon, yep, housework.
I'm going for a lovely hot shower now and I'll be back this arvo with more pics of what I am determined to finish today. Seeya.

Card class with Michelle 5th May

We had another wonderful class on Monday 5th May. I enjoy these classes so much. There's always something to learn. All the girls love 'em actually. Lots of laughs and fun.
Here's what we made.

This one is just gorgeous and I would never have thought of using this flower stamp in this way. I was a bit heavy handed with my sponging on the round label. Ignore that bit.
Then this cute two fold card. It's easy to adjust the sizes of the card to suit your own purpose. In this case, off cuts can be used. Great card.
Card half opened and opened to show how it was done.
This one used the Stampin' Up Print Pattern stamp (retired), Hero Arts stamps and Nesties.
Easy and very very effective.
This last one is sooooo cute. A Pyramid card. It's a fantastic card. So clever but really easy to achieve.
This pic shows how the back is anchored by just a slit cut in the card and bingo, the card will stand alone.
Card opened to show verse inside and plenty of space to write the greeting.
It will also fold down flat to fit simply into a C6 envelope.

Third workshop make and take

Here's the little box that made the third make and take item for the last workshop I did. I love it, sooooo cute. It's in this year's Stampin' Up catalogue on page 98. The Lovely Labels set was used with Wild Wasabi textured c/s and Groovy Guava ribbon.

Workshop make and takes

I'm in trouble for not being more up to date on my blog. Sorry people.
These are two of the make and takes that the ladies made at a workshop yesterday. The third item was a little box, which is really cute. I forgot to get a photo of that before I gave it to the hostess. So I'll post that later. I'm sure they all enjoyed themselves, there was lots of food, talk and giving the demo person (me) a hard time. rofl Good thing they are all my friends. I have been making other pocket cards which again I'll put up in a separate post.
Thank goodness I'm feeling better. I don't like being sick, it interferes with my craft time. lol
