Back to the hospital today

Today we had an appointment with the surgeon who operated on Dean's leg. He's very pleased with the way the leg is healing. Thank Goodness. A full fibre glass cast went on today and that will be on for four weeks when we go back again to have another x-ray.
The surgeon showed us today where he had plated and screwed one of the breaks and said the bone had splintered which required a few screws. The other break which he didn't operate on is looking good. Still no weight on the leg for the next four week and when he's sitting, the leg has to be elevated.

I'm trying to get back to feeling my normal self and not so run down.
Thanks so much for all your messages of good will, they are very much appreciated.
I so want to get in and make a card or something but just cannot find the energy to even start.
Not to worry, I'll get there. lol
Until next time.....bye.

My son is home...finally

I brought Dean home from the hospital yesterday. He's a lot better but still only has a back slab on. I have to take him back on Tuesday and the doctors say that he can probably have a full cast on then. We just have to wait and see.
Tomorrow is usually my day in town with my friends doing our cards but I'm giving it a miss. Maybe I can get the last of my Brisbane class cards finished and put them on my blog. I'll see how I go.
Thanks so much for all your thoughts and good wishes. Much appreciated. It's certainly been an exhausting 12 days.

Update

My son is still in hospital. They were going to operate on Sunday but by 9pm Sunday night, they decided to defer him until the next day, Monday.
Thankfully, it wasn't delayed any longer than Monday morning. He came out of theatre at around 12 noon. I've been there everyday for the last week. So I haven't made any cards or done any scrapbooking.
Maybe he comes home today, have to wait until the surgeon has seen him.
Hope everyone is well.
Bye.

No cards yet sorry.

I was in the middle of finishing off my class cards from the show when my son arrived home in a ute with a broken leg and gashed head. Fallen off the back of a four wheeler!! So from 4pm yesterday arvo until I got home last night at 'bout 10pm I spent in at Mackay hospital.
His leg is broken in two places and they'll decide this morning whether to operate or not.
See you soon I hope with some of my creations from the show.

I've been away

Arrived home yesterday from the Scrapbooking and Papercraft Convention & Expo held in Brisbane. This show is held every year on the Queen's Birthday long weekend. Wow, I had a ball. Came home with lots and lots of goodies. Did four classes, watched many demos and learnt heaps.
Now I have to catch up on everyone's blogs. Oh yeah and to find homes for all my new stamps, nesties, inks, stencils, cardstock, ribbons and embellishments that I brought home.
I'm home tomorrow so really want to get in and play.
Thanks for reading.

Yesteryear cards

I made these a week or so ago to put in the Tourist Centre. They are very popular and sell well.
All the pictures are by Stamp It from their 9ups range.
I'd like to thank Debbie for the award she so kindly gave me too.
Enjoy the rest of your day.

Bella Bleu again!!!!

Here's the last of the Bella Bleu wedding cards I've made. I've left off the hat pin in this one.
Hope you like it.
Just lately I always seem to be at funerals. One on Friday, another one on Wednesday. It's not good. My Dad doesn't seem to be too well either. Will have to keep an eye on him.
Have a good afternoon everyone.
