Prima Clock

I made this clock for my girlfriend Ilse. The papers are Prima which I managed to purchase from somewhere, not easy getting hold of the pretty Prima papers. While I was at the Brisbane craft show in June, I saw a bouquet of Prima flowers. I bought them on impulse and I'm very pleased I did. They were perfect for the papers, all I did was split the bouquet up into the different flowers. I was very very happy with this clock. So easy and the colours are gorgeous.
Thanks for visiting my blog, hope you are having a wonderful day.

Reindeer Christmas.

Mmmm well I'm showing these two cards even though I don't feel that I've done very well with the sketch. I should have made square cards out of Card Patterns Sketch 86 but by the time I realised I had cut the dp and cardstock and couldn't waste it.

The papers are Basic Grey Jovial and the I used Poppy, Vanilla and Old Olive cardstock. The stamp is by Inkadinkado and doesn't have a name but I've had it since last Christmas.
You can see the glitter in the gold embossing which I thought looked good. Looking at one of the cards now, I can see that the panel is crooked. gggrrrrrr.
These cards have been in the making for 3 days and I'm sick of them. lol Please just imagine it's straight and even.

The ribbon is Stamp Simply ribbon from Sharon which I absolutely love.
I really think that this bug I've caught again has sapped my mojo and I really don't feel very motivated at all.
Then again, perhaps it's just worry over my son that's done it. Whatever it is, I want to be back to normal because I've only one week before Craft Camp and I've nothing prepared whatsoever.

Thanks for visiting and I do hope your creating skills are better than mine at the moment.

Owl Greetings!!

I made this card using The Sweet Stop sketch number 77 for this week. Once again, I've only just made it for a challenge. Around the owl I did sponge some Antique Linen ink to lessen the white but it hasn't shown up very well in the photo. The owl is a Penny Black stamp and I've coloured him with copics (Kathy, does he look alright?). As usual I've pretty well followed the sketch to the letter. The poppy red piece I embossed with the SU folder called Petals-A-Plenty. Papers are the Jovial range by Basic Grey. I used Whisper White, Poppy Parade and Old Olive cardstock and the image is stamped on the Xpress it c/s that is recommended in Australia for Copic work.
The spray of flowers are some I had in my stash and looked quite good I thought.
For some reason I was loath to add anymore embellishments because I didn't want to take away from my owl and the gorgeous papers.
Hope you like my card.

Life is Beautiful

Once again I used a card made by Ann Schach for inspiration for my own card. The papers are SU Lap of Luxury with Basic Gray and Very Vanilla for cardstock. The sentiment is a Just Rite stamp and so is the border. The butterfly is the Martha Stewart monach butterfly punch with a pearl from the new SU range. The rose/organza trim matches perfectly but unfortunately I can't remember where I purchased it.
Thank you for visiting my blog and taking the time to comment.

Up, Up and Away

My friend's grandson is turning one very soon. I made this card for her to give to him. No doubt he won't ever remember but at least it will probably be in his scrapbook, well maybe. lol
He and his parents are visiting from the UK so the plane being a boy thing as well gave me the opportunity to use this cute Kaisercraft clear stamp set. It consists of the plane, the swirl and the words 'Little Man'. The papers are retired SU Sweet Slumber which are textured and with that cloud pattern were absolutely perfect for this card.
The sketch is from the Create 4Fun Challenge this week and I'm only just in time to enter it too, I think.
I pretty much followed the sketch to the letter and I used on of the design team's examples as a guide too.
The ink I used is Versafine, I tried to use the matching SU ink but dye inks a lot of the time won't work on the acrylic stamps, it beads and won't stamp a solid stamp properly. Versafine is fantastic for solid stamps. I love it.
OK, think that's it. Thanks so much for visiting and enjoy your day everyone.
