Two more.

At the same time I made the glitter boy and girl baby pin cards, I made these as well. In this case the baby pins have been heat embossed with the appropriate colour i.e. silver, blue and pink. Again I used Beate's sketch challenge 97 which I like and will probably use quite often. I enjoyed using my eyelet border punch to make the frills. So easy when you know how.
To embellish, just a button on each, silver pearls and a peel off for the greeting.

My son now has his Learner's and he drove this morning to the airport which is a 40 mile drive from here. Sorry don't know it in kms. Fortunately it was early and not too many semis and b-doubles were out on the road. He's away for two weeks so I'll enjoy the break but miss him too.
It's school holidays here in Queensland for two weeks.
Right, I'm off to bed, this flu/bug/whatever has certainly taken hold of me.
Bye.

Glitter for Babies

I recently attended a class on using Dreamweaver stencils by Julie Makela from The Stencil Specialists. A couple of years ago, Michelle taught us techniques in stencilling which she had learned from Julie and I enjoyed it. At the time I did quite a lot of Christmas cards using glitter and embossing medium but since then my stencils have sat in the cupboard. Well after doing the class with Julie, they've come out of the cupboard (the stencils I mean) and I'm starting to use them again.

Here are two baby cards I made using Beate's weekend sketch challenge #97. Instead of square cards, I've made mine into A5 size cards so I hope that's ok.
The baby pins are done on double sided Jac paper. The glitter on the boy card is from the Alison Ellis range and on the girl card, the pink is the SU glitter.
Ribbon, button and thread from my stash. The frill was something Michelle Habib did as a WOW at SU convention in Canberra this year (I think it was Michelle) using the eyelet border punch to make a frill.
The little silver pearls are by Joy Crafts and have been in my stash for quite a few months. They have now seen the light of day and I love them.
I cut the circles with my nesties and silver peel offs to finish.
Think that's everything mentioned.

Today I did manage to make four more cards so I'll put them up tomorrow.
Hope everyone has a good night or day as the case may be. I'm off to bed now.
Night!
