Paper Craft Crew Challenge #77

Well I'm back again posting to my poor neglected blog.  Prior to Christmas I made many cards for classes and orders which were all well received.  Unfortunately they didn't make it this far.  Maybe I'll post them here in the future.   The weeks of December flew by and all of a sudden it was Christmas.  I had wonderful plans for January too, some have been achieved, others have gone by the way.  Not to worry.
One of my card classes start today and this is the one of the cards the ladies will be making.
I used the sketch from the Paper Craft Crew Challenge #77 .
Forgot to add the keyword....PCCCS077

The base is Very Vanilla, with a layer of Wild Wasabi.  The papers are from a very old paper pad that I've had for ages from K & Company called Spring Blossom.
The sketch has a die cut image between two banners.  I chose to use a Tattered Angels frame for my focal image.  I painted it with Peeled Paint distress paint, then painted on White Picket Fence distress paint.  While the white as still wet, I wiped it off.  This toned down the Peeled Paint green enough to blend with the papers.   I then sprayed the frame with Pearl Tattered Angels glimmer mist and dried the whole thing with my heat gun.
The floral arrangement was created with flowers and leaves from my stash, with a gingham ribbon and a small spray of crystals to finish off.  The greeting was stamped in Black archival ink, which is my go to ink. lol

Just for interest, I use Claudine Hellmuth Multi Media Matte glue for all my floral arrangements.  It is fantastic for this sort of work and it dries matte, not shiny.

I'm going to enter this in the challenge.  For various reasons, I haven't entered a challenge for months.  I think the card qualifies, well I hope so anyway.

My apologies for the poor photo.  I must admit that I'm not a very good photographer.
Thanks for visiting my blog today.

Hi Leigh, I just love your elegant card! Such a gorgeous frame you 've created with your paint layers and I love the way you arranged the flowers and leaves too. Thanks so much for joining us at The Paper Craft Crew this week!

Beautiful and well worth waiting for! I'm so happy to see a post from you, but I'm glad you are going at your own pace and just doing what you need and want to do. It's a lot of work to keep up a blog. I love to read your descriptions. It always gives me ideas. Thanks for sharing today, Leigh!
